“Hard Work” the key to Fergie success

Sir Alex FergusonSpeaking on a lunch hosted in his honour, Fergie has said that all that he has achieved at United is down to “hard work”.

“Successful people have a natural work ethic

“I would not say I was a workaholic but I have had a natural work ethic all my life.

“People might say ‘is that all?’ but working hard all your life is not easy. It is a talent and there are many great examples of it.

“Most people who are successful have a good work ethic.”

Agreed 110%! One of the reasons he’s been so successful at United has been the sheer determination to win. His development of youth programs at United and a nice blend of youth and multi-million pound signings was and always is something to be proud of. Like I said, the current squad demonstrates this perfectly. In players like Rooney and Ronaldo, United have the young exuberance with the maturity of several key senior players. No wonder we’re going places under Fergie!

And judging by his recent comments, he’s not about to give up hope of more silverware just yet. Read the news article here where he talks about winning more trophies before he says goodbye to the beautiful game.
