Larsson joins United!
In a shock move, Fergie has snapped up the Swede Henrik Larsson on a three-month loan till the end of the season presumably from Helsinborg. I have to say this is a pretty shrewd piece of business by SAF, having been short of strikers ever since Solskjaer suffered that injury. More importantly, we now have a great striker at our disposal who could be an invaluable member of our squad and provide us with the necessary cover going into the new year and beyond.
He is, however, 35 years old and at the twilight of his career but you only need to look back at last year’s Champions League final when he helped set up that wonderful goal for Barcelona and not only that, he had a great season at the Nou Camp otherwise as well. It appears Fergie is no longer in the market for more strikers but I know Fergie and I take comments like this with a pinch of salt to be honest. Here’s what he had to say:
No, we won’t be going for any other strikers, We have exhausted all avenues and this, without doubt, is the best option.
