Legendary former Manchester United winger Andrei Kanchelskis announced his retirement today at the age of 38. Although he played for other Premiership clubs, most notably Everton and Manchester City, he made his mark on football at Man Utd and helped the club to two league titles and an FA Cup.

He joined Manchester United in 1991 for a bargain fee of £650,000 and played 162 times. He also scored 36 goals before he moved to Everton just four years later. He was an integral part of the early Ferguson side that dominated English football for a time. The picture above, with Lee Sharpe and the FA Cup, is how he will be remembered – a talented player who gave his all with a smile on his face!
