Earlier I posted about the change to the Manchester United badge in the 1970s and 1980s. Well, I though it would be interesting to see what it looked like prior to then. I made some interesting findings and wanted to share them.

Tonight saw the triumphant march of Manchester United progress one step closer to the first FA Cup Final back at Wembley. the team had been unable to beat Reading at Old Trafford but beat them 3-2 tonight thanks to 3 goals in the first six minutes. UEFA have already dismissed one appeal against the quickly take free kick that Giggs converted, but the appeal is to be heard again on Friday for a final ruling. Lille are adamant that there was a technical error on...

Sir Alex Ferguson has ben in charge of Manchester United since 1986. This spell is one of the longest in recent history as managers can generally be hired and fired within the space of a year or so these days. The amount of success he has had is unparalleled and deserves the title of best modern day manager.
Ferguson took over from Ron Atkinson in 1986 but his first few years were anything but easy. Poor spells made him a target for calls for his job from the fans. Undaunted, he continued in his role but had to wait until 1990 for...
