We’ll Meet Again…

It is now official - Henrik Larsson is no longer a Manchester United player. He played his final game in the red shirt yeasterday in the draw against Middlesborough and will fly back to Sweden tomorrow. I, for one, would like to say thank you to him for helping us retain form and score goals this season. I am not alone in this. Alex Ferguson has already said that he would do anything to keep him at Old Trafford indefinitely.
Larsso has scored three goals in his twelve appearences since January, and created many more. He was an asset purely because of his ability to hold the ball and play almost anywhere on the pitch. He has returned to Helsingborg, whose season begins in April, because he promised he would. Considering there is no loyalty in football anymore, Larsson should be appreciated on the strength of this alone. However, if Ferguson were to persuade him to sign a contract here, then I’m sure nobody would object!
Good luck Henrik, and thank you!
