Finally The Deal Is Done

It’s official, Owen Hargraves will join Manchester United on the 1st July in a multi million pound deal from Bayern Munich. The worst kept secret in football seems to have finally come to fruition. This in itself is a surprise because the things that are most talked about don’t actually happen. Judging by Manchester United’s transfer activity already, it looks as though it may well be a busy summer! This can only be a good thing and just goes to prove that Alex Ferguson will not be happy unless he retains the title again next year!

  The worst kept secret in football may well soon become reality. Owen Hargreaves should complete his transfer to Manchester United in the next few weeks and become Alex Ferguson’s first summmer signing of 2007. The speculation has been rife for a number of months now that Hargreaves would move from Bayern Munich to the Premiership champions, and may well have done so before now if he hadn’t have broken his foot. Heartbreak At Wembley

  Alas, this year the double was not to be. In the first FA Cup final at the new Wembley, Manchester United were beaten by a Chelsea goal from Didier Drogba deep into extra time, which handed Chelsea the cup double this year. The match was a poor affair and not fitting for the first final back at its spiritual home, which lends itself to the argument that clubs are playing too many matches every season with not enough of a break. The Day Of Reckoning

  Well people, the day has finally arrived. We are within hours of the kick off against Chelsea at the new Wembley in the FA Cup Final. Time to look at doing the double methinks.
