Gudjohnsen A Red Devil?

The rumour mill is at work again! This time Manchester United have been linked with Eidur Gudjohnsen, the former Chelsea striker currently with Barcelona. He hasn’t really made it away from the Premiership and is looking to return, with the biggest club in the league at the moment. It is thought that Barca would sell him for around £8 million because he is still contracted until 2009, but he may be just the player to lead the front line in the coming season.

Saha Set To Be Fit For Season

Some excellent news for all Manchester United fans - Louis Saha will be back for the start of the 1007/8 season! Almost back to full fitness, Louis Saha is now in training to improve match fitness ahead of the August fixtures. Out for the final weeks of last season, Saha missed out on playing in some srucial games for the Red Devils so he is raring to make up for that, by all accounts!!!

And The First Signing Of The Summer Is…

The worst kept secret in football may well soon become reality. Owen Hargreaves should complete his transfer to Manchester United in the next few weeks and become Alex Ferguson’s first summmer signing of 2007.
The speculation has been rife for a number of months now that Hargreaves would move from Bayern Munich to the Premiership champions, and may well have done so before now if he hadn’t have broken his foot. However, all parties are keen and a fee has been agreed so here we go… Let 2007/8 commence!

Champions Pics!

Here is the picture I promised you yesterday when I told you that Manchester United were once again Premiership champions! It just makes you want to jump with joy!
It’s great to see Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville, who are the unsung heroes of the team, lift the trophy. I’m going to be controversial and say that they have been more influential than Rooney and Ronaldo. Sure they scored the goals, but the team would not be haf the team it is without Giggs and Neville.

Setting Up The Cup Final

All signs now point to the FA cup final! Not only are Manchester United now Premiership champiosn, they still have to play Chelsea at least once before the end of the season - in the FA Cup final. Whn the two teams met on Wednesday, the result was a boring 0-0 draw. Whilst this was not fun for the fans, it reveals absolutely nothing about the way that the final will go next week. The anticipation is building… come on you reds!

It has definitely been a season to remember with many high points. I believe that it has easily been one of our best, and long may it continue… but we are not done yet! Manchester United have to play Chelsea another twice before the season draws to a close, on Wednesday and for the FA Cup final! Woo hoo!
