On Chelsea and their deluded Chief Executive

Poor ol’ Mr. Kenyon came out yesterday in the press letting us all know how deluded he truly is to think that by 2014, Chelski is expected to be bigger than anybody else in the world. Just like that eh ? You get a russian billionaire to buy you a nice glamorous club in London and the next thing you see is them singing their own praises. They may be the champions but they aren’t THAT good. Look at their performances in the  Champions League, good but not good enough.

If you ask me, no football club can be built with some businessman’s millions! Sure, you can buy the best players, pay them outrageous sums of money and even land a title of two. But is that all a football club is ? What about years of history and tradition that is associated with each club?! You don’t want some foreigner to come and invest his fortune into you, it’s more like toying around than anything else to be quite honest.

So far, Mr. Kenyon has failed to even make Chelski a self-sustaining football club. They depend on Abramovich’s billions to stay afloat and as soon as he goes, the club will go bankrupt. Takeovers may not be anything new in football, after all who would know more than us fans having been on the receiving end of a takeover ourselves! Where Abramovich picked out the most glamorous and cheeky club in London to buy, Mr. Glazer on the other hand landed the best club in the world!
