Heartbreak At Wembley
Alas, this year the double was not to be. In the first FA Cup final at the new Wembley, Manchester United were beaten by a Chelsea goal from Didier Drogba deep into extra time, which handed Chelsea the cup double this year.
The match was a poor affair and not fitting for the first final back at its spiritual home, which lends itself to the argument that clubs are playing too many matches every season with not enough of a break.
The one bright spark was Wayne Rooney who ran his socks of for all 120 minutes.
There’s always next year lads!

Champions Pics!
Here is the picture I promised you yesterday when I told you that Manchester United were once again Premiership champions! It just makes you want to jump with joy!
It’s great to see Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville, who are the unsung heroes of the team, lift the trophy. I’m going to be controversial and say that they have been more influential than Rooney and Ronaldo. Sure they scored the goals, but the team would not be haf the team it is without Giggs and Neville.

Ronaldo Wins Awards

Cristiano Ronaldo must be feeling extremely satisfied about the state of play in his career at the moment. Not only did he get his 23rd goal for Manchester Ubited this season today, he must feel extremely proud to have beaten Didier Drogba out of the PFA Player of the Year as well as the Football Writer’s Award for this season, both of which were announced this past week.
It just goes to show what a storming season he had last year really. Not bad for a player that is still the most hated in the country after his little spat with Wayne Rooney at the World Cup!

Stock Player Photos!

Manchester United fans everywhere search for clipart and photos of their favourite side every day, but there are very few sites that have definitive stock photos for fans to choose from. This is especially annoying if you have your own website or are trying to create something on your computer. However, I found the best stock photo site out there.
Acclaim Images has an array of stock photos to choose from. All of the current players, including Ronaldo and Rooney, as well as some of the old, like Best and Charlton, are there. And there are some unusual images too. The one above is of an image on the side of a pub in Belfast, erected in homage to George Best.
