The Day Of Reckoning
Well people, the day has finally arrived. We are within hours of the kick off against Chelsea at the new Wembley in the FA Cup Final. Time to look at doing the double methinks. The Old Trafford camp has been pretty quiet this week, which bodes well because the lat thing the players needed was a slanging match between Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho.
The preliminary team news is that Gary Neville and Luis Saha are out, as expected, but everyone else is fit to start.

Man Utd Kit To Stay The Same

News has emerged from Old Trafford that the club have no plans to change the design of the home or away kit at the end of this season. That means that you will be seeing the likes of Scholes and Saha wearing the same colours as this season, so may be that will bring us the same good luck as it has this season.
I personally like this strip and believe the simple design fits in well with teams of the past. Plus it is bringing us glory, which is no bad thing.

Team News For Roma

As the anticipation begins to build ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League quarter final first leg against Roma, the Manchester United team news has begun to filter through the grapevine. The biggest surprise is perhaps that both Louis Saha and Darren Fletcher have both been included in the squad.
Both Fletcher and Saha were expected to be out until late April, if not for the rest of the season, so it has come as a welcome surprise that they have been included in the squad. Neville, Vidic, Evra and Silvestre are all still on the injured list. Ji-Sung Park is also out as a result of a knee injury sustained at the weekend against Blackburn.
The return of two first teamers is also welcome, but this shoudl really boost the squad and hopefully spur them on to victory.

Red Top Scorers To Date

Most Premier League teams have at least one proven goalscorer who consistently achieves a tally of 15-20+ in all competitions to keep the team afloat. He does so year in, year out and forges a name for himself. These strikers are essential to promote glory in a club and lead them to the title. Well, that has always been the conventional belief but Manchester United seem to be proving the traditionalists that espouse these sentiments all wrong.
If it was indeed true then you would expect Wayne Rooney or Louis Saha to be top scorer. No, Manchester United don’t have a prolific goalscorer, but they do have a prolific winger! Cristiano Roanldo is the top scorer in the Premier League this season with 16 goals to his name, followed by Rooney with 10 and Saha with 8. If the team did have a prolific striker too, just imagine where they would be!

Dong Fangzhou - The Man With No Starts
Who is Dong Fangzhou? Few Man United fans will have heard of him, let alone know that the 21 year old striker is tied to the club until 2010 thanks to a contract extension completed in January. He is one of the best kept secrets at Old Trafford.
Dong was signed almost three years ago from Dalian Shide, a Chinese club, before being loaned to feeder club Royal Antwerp. There he scored 36 goals in 61 appearences and really showed the footballing world what he can do. However, now he is back on English soil, complete with work permit, he has yet to play in the first team for Manchester United. It is doubtful that he will start with the likes of Larsson, Saha, Rooney and Smith in front of him on the team list, so what now? Watch this space for more information on the Chinaman.
