Man Utd Kit To Stay The Same

News has emerged from Old Trafford that the club have no plans to change the design of the home or away kit at the end of this season. That means that you will be seeing the likes of Scholes and Saha wearing the same colours as this season, so may be that will bring us the same good luck as it has this season.
I personally like this strip and believe the simple design fits in well with teams of the past. Plus it is bringing us glory, which is no bad thing.

Roma Defeat Hits Hard
Manchester United tonight suffered a blow to their Champions League aspirations as they lost to Roma 2-1. They went 1-0 down to a Taddei goal on 44 minutes. However, ten minutes before that Paul Scholes was sent off for a second bookable offence. Both tackles were stupid and could have been avoided but, as a result, Scholes will miss the next leg of the tie at Old Trafford. Wayne Rooney pulled a goal back on 60 minutes, only for the Red Devils to go 2-1 down just seven minutes later.
The scoreline has left Manchester United a lot to do at Old Trafford next week. They do have the advantage of an away goal but may well need that advantage if they struggle to get past Roma’s defence.
Come on boys, you can do it!

And The Reds Go Marching Onnnnnn….

It was crunch day today as Manchester United faced Liverpool at Anfield, with the Scousers having a 30 match unbeaten streak at home. Amazingly, our Red Devils pulled it off. We actually ended up beating them by a goal to nil. John O’Shea scored a 90th minute goal deep into injury time to snatch three points and consolidate our place at the top of the table. Although Chelsea also won, beating Portsmouth 2-0, it means that top spot if gettng further out of the Blues’ reach.
To be honest, Liverpool dominated the game and should have been two ahead just after helf time, but Manchester United kept on battling and never gave up. Paul Scholes was sent off in the second half for violent conduct, but that only served to dampen the mood slightly as the players celebrated an amazing three points at the end of the 90 minutes.

The Ultimate Youth Team

Most football clubs have adequate youth system that produce one or two stars but generally fall short of providing the club with a new team when the young players hit 18. Not Manchester United! The club has one of the most successful youth teams and has brought through star after star. Most of those stars have helped to put Manchester United in the positions they are in now, consolidating the glory that most fans have become accustomed to!
Between 1992 and 1996, the youth squad introduced players like David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville and Paul Scholes amongst others. All of the players mentioned have been key in the success of the club, and more players are making an impact every year. With Alex Ferguson making the most of the talent that is coming through, you can’t help but admire the structure that the club has put in place to keep faith with its own talent. The England team should be grateful at any rate! Long may it continue!

The One And Only David Beckham

Regardless of what your opinions are of David Beckham, you cannot deny that he was once one of the greatest players in the world, and a proud Manchester United player. I’m sure that most Man Utd fans have a soft spot for him in their hearts, and so they should. He was a prime example of the youth team in his early days, along with the Neville brothers and Paul Scholes, to name but three. As he grew to be a recognised face in the squad, he helped spur the team on to trophy after trophy.
Beckham supported Manchester United from a boy and modelled himself on Bobby Charlton. He played football fantically as a child and jumped at the chance to sign on with United on his 14th birthday. It was a decision he would never regret. he signed a YTS contract in 1991 and only took four years to make his first team debut, which was in a 0-0 draw against Leeds on 2nd April 1995. He became a regular the following season and helped the team to winning the double. He continued to play with some success until moving to Real Madrid in 2003 following publicised spats with Alex Ferguson.
As Beckham had played over 400 games and scored 85 goals in 11 years, he remains one of the club’s longest serving and highest scoring players. Whatever else is said about him, Beckham was and is Manchester united through and through and we should all wish him luc when he moves to America in the summer!
