Semi-Final Date Announced
The venues and dates for the semi-finals of the FA Cup have now been announced as the excitement begins to build toward the first FA Cup final back at Wembley.
Manchester United will face Watford at Villa Park on Saturday 14th April with kick off at 5.15pm. Hopefully, this round will be settled in the first game as United cannot afford another round to go to reply. As the fixture congestion begins to mount, as do injuries, the team could really do with seeing Watford off at the first attempt.

Wembley, Here We Come!

Yet another great night was had by one and all at Old Trafford tonight as Manchester United reached the semi finals of the FA Cup, and all thanks to the usual suspect!
Cristiano Ronaldo converted a second half penalty to eusure that the Red Devils beat Middlesbrough by a goal to nil in a memorable match that should have seen more goals. United had many chances to put the game beyond Middlesbrough’s reach, but it took Woodgate fouling Ronaldo in the box to give away the penalty that broke the deadlock.
United will now go on to face Watford in a few weeks time and hopefully then progress to the first final at Wembley since 2000. It is only fitting after all!

Now I may be getting a little ahead of mysef here, but the draw for the semi-finals of the FA Cup was made today and Manchester United will not face Chelsea until the final. Despite having a replay with Middlesborough still to play, critics are discussing which of the two favourites will come out on top at the new Wembley in May. Manchester United were drawn against Watford, with Chelsea facing Blackburn should they get passed Tottehham Hotspur in the replay.
If the prospect of silverwear wasn’t enough, the idea of being the first side to win the FA Cup at the new Wembley stadium is certainly appealing so here’s to achieving that!
